Join me at the breathtaking wellness retreat centre, BLOOM, for a luxurious spring yoga weekend. Located on over 650 acres of pristine Canadian Shield landscape, just 20 minutes north of Kingston, Bloom is a haven nestled along the tranquil shores of Loughborough Lake. The newly designed space features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering sweeping views of the lakefront from every room on the main floor—the yoga studio, living room, dining area, and entrance. With miles of unspoiled lakefront, acres of forest trails, serene lookout points, a cozy fire pit, and an outdoor dining area with a pizza oven, Bloom is an oasis unlike any other in Ontario.
We’ll begin our retreat on Friday afternoon with an opening practice at 4:30 p.m., allowing time for everyone to settle in. Following practice, we’ll gather for a delicious farm-to-table vegetarian meal, then unwind with a peaceful evening in the cozy living room.
Saturday morning will start with a light breakfast before we move into an invigorating practice in the lakefront studio. Afterward, enjoy a nourishing brunch. The afternoon is yours to explore and indulge—whether it’s a walk along the forest and lakeside trails, a soothing sauna session followed by a refreshing dip in the lake, a rejuvenating massage, or curling up by the fire with a good book. The choice is yours.
In the evening, we’ll slow things down with a gentle flow, breathwork, and Yoga Nidra, before gathering for another delightful meal. Weather permitting, we may end the night with a bonfire under the stars, enjoying the warmth and stillness of the evening.
Sunday morning will follow a similar rhythm, giving you space to savor the early hours. While we check out of the main building by 12 p.m., you are welcome to linger and continue to enjoy the property for the rest of the afternoon, basking in the peaceful energy of the retreat and the promise of spring.

Katie brings more than 30 years of combined experience in high-end hospitality, permaculture design, and remote expeditions, to Bloom. Her focus is simple restorative menus built on a foundation of extensive training in French, Italian, vegetarian, and Japanese cuisine. PACKING LIST
comfortable practice clothing
yoga mat, if you prefer your own. Studio is stocked with mats, meditation shawl, eye pillow, and any other items.
water bottle (glass bottles and open vessels are not permitted in the studio)
seasonal clothing for outdoor activities
bathing suit (note: sauna towels are supplied) + booties for the optional cold lake dip between sauna sessions

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
GETTING THERE You can drive, or take the train to Kingston station – it’s only a 20 minute drive north of the city. Drive time is about 2.5-3 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Ottawa, and 3-4 hours from Montreal.
Arrive on Friday March 28th 4 pm. You can be on the road as early as noon on Sunday March 30th, but you are welcome to stay and linger on the property to squeeze a little extra time out of your weekend. Your retreat includes accommodation, yoga classes, Saturday 2 hour sauna session with polar dip experience, meals, starting with dinner on your first night and ending with brunch on your final morning.
